I got this Mac Mini as untested from eBay and it ended up being fully working, so the price I paid for it is REALLY Good.
I bought this for use as a file server and I've been using it as such since then with 2 storage and 2 backup drives.
I've had to change the enclosure of the drives a few times, but the Mac Mini has remained the same and does a good job of being a file server
To access files I usually use SMB but if I'm away from home I use anydesk to remote into it. I use it for controlling the Mac too, as there's no peripherals plugged into it except a TV for if I need to monitor it on a separate screen. On 2024/07/22 I decommisioned this Mac Mini as I upgraded to a 2012. |
